This video is a bit about the road trip with the beautiful scenery while driving from Los Angeles to Las Vegas and mostly about hiking the Frenchman mountain located east of Las Vegas strip. Its best to hike up this 4.4 mile moderate trail in Fall, Spring or Winter when the temperatures are bearable during the day. Steep incline and loose gravel makes it a difficult one. Wear good hiking shoes to avoid any accident or injuries. Wear layered clothes and cover yourself completely. The views from the top are totally worth the hike although this is a strenuous and challenging climb. You got to climb 2 peaks. Thus, climb one peak, then descent and then climb up another to reach the final spot. This is a good place away from the tourists and crowds of Vegas.

This hike is in the region around Lake Mead and close to 20 minutes heading east from downtown of Las Vegas. From downtown, drive towards Lake Mead on Lake Mead Blvd. The height of the southern summit peak is about 2000 feet. You do not need a parking pass for this one.
